What is Oracle Reports? Oracle Reports is a reporting application that allows users to run Kettering generated and SCT Banner delivered reports through the Banner interface. Oracle Reports is used so that Banner users can run their own reports when that want, through the Banner interface. It can produce reports in delimited, pdf, and html formats. Can I use Oracle Reports? If you have any reports that have been created for you by the Applications Group that you currently run through sql or have the Applications Group run for you and you would like to run them yourself, then you can use Oracle Reports. Just put in an email to helpdesk@kettering.edu requesting that you would like a sql report converted to an Oracle Report. Please be sure to include the report name and where it is located. Using Oracle Reports Using Oracle Reports is very simple. Once you are logged into Banner, just enter your report name in the Direct Access field and press enter. You will be taken to the Job Submission Screen (GJAPCTL), press ctrl-pgdn. If you would like your report in a format other than the default PDF, you can change parameter 71 to:
Enter any required report parameters then click on the sumbit button. Your report will then be displayed. |
